Are you a freelance writer? I’m not at the moment (thanks for the full-time job, aasman) but I have dabbled in the past. In my case, I acquired a bit of casual work related to a former job, not through marketing myself in the industry as such.

There’s a big market out there for freelance writers and it appears to be growing. Many businesses and communications agencies turn to contract writers for the flexibility that contract work provides and to cut costs.

Rich Cooper, self-proclaimed as “Toronto’s busiest Freelance Advertising Copywriter,” founded the website Go! Team Freelance to connect businesses and agencies with experienced, local freelance writers. 

Go! Team Freelance seems like a good way for writers to market themselves. Check it out and tell me what you think.
