Every now and then you come across something that is "wow.... sooooo cooool."
Handmade Type by Tien-Min Liao is a project like that.
It's a project that explores the relationships between upper-case letters and lower-case letters, and records the transformation between them using solid ink on human hands.
See the break down of how it's done on the designer's blog about it.
Why am I so impressed? There's lots of reasons, but I particularily like how the project is taken to the next level with animation and video. Liao figured out each letter of the alphabet with human hands, but then polished it by putting into a single word and animating the gestures... inspiring me to watch the video a few times–a rarity for me.
What about you? What do you like about this?
