Strategic planning
Project Goal To improve the overall health of Yukon people in the communities by encouraging them to move more, eat healthier, and smoke less. To change the thinking that these choices are unnecessary, impossible, and/or ineffectual.
Target Audience Yukon women, recognizing that because they are deeply connected to their community and relationships, they will have the greatest influence on making change.
Positioning Statement For rural Yukon women needing a healthier lifestyle, following simple steps towards moving more, eating healthier, and smoking less, will cause them to feel better physically, mentally, and spiritually, and enable them to better care for others.

Measuring impact
The campaign is in phase 3 of 4, with impact measurement planned for spring 2009. The number of women in the communities attending the follow-up programs are very good. Positive feedback on the overall appeal of the practical advice cards.
