It’s hard to believe that a new year is upon us already, but what a year 2014 was for aasman!

We started the year off with a bang when we won a Frozen Globe award for most Innovative Business north of 60. We followed that up with a Platinum award: Best Social Media Contest, at the 2014 Hermes Creative awards for our Snap Chat Challenge for Mic Mac Mall in Halifax.

We Launched a Very “In Your Face” Campaign

Remember this one? Lots of you said it was Health’s "stickiest" campaign yet. We're glad you think so – that means we're getting through! Have you been paying more attention to how much sodium is in your food? New Year's resolution perhaps?

Other campaigns we worked on were for Aurora Geosciences, Highways and Public Works, Environment's Water Strategy, Yukon Housing, Economic Development, City of Whitehorse – core messaging, as well as some smaller projects for NorthFork Taxidermy, Basketball Yukon and Alaska Sports Shop - just to name a few.  We started some new relationships with clients over in our Halifax office too: Alianco, 100 Men Halifax, Oulton College and as mentioned, Mic Mac Mall.

Internal Excitement

We had an exciting year in our office too. Steve Rennalls joined our team early this year, bringing his academic branding and marketing training from Concordia University to real-world applications in the Yukon. Eleanor got married, Nico become a Canadian, Al turned the big 6-0, Margriet moved to an as-needed basis to free up time to pursue personal artwork, and our bookkeeper Elaine retired after 14 loyal years passing the torch to Teresa.

And, most importantly, we welcomed to the office our brand new Nespresso machine!

Last but not least…we turned 25! To celebrate, we kicked it off with a Business After Hours event in which we showed off some of our past work through an artshow at Baked Café (which we couldn’t have done without all the help from our friends over at Inkspirationz). We launched a healthy “slice” of our new website and even started an Instagram account!

All in all, I’d say it was a pretty good year, and with things around the office in full swing now, I can’t wait to see what 2015 holds!

I’m sure it was difficult, but you managed quite nicely to summarize our year Krysten. It already looks like a very exciting 2015 with a lot of new and challenging work for us. So glad our team is together and on it!
